The steering column switch cluster (SZL) generates the switching signals based on the status of the column stalk's current position. The switch signals are made available by the steering-column switch cluster (SZL) across the FlexRay.
The footwell module (FRM) receives the request signal via a bus signal from the turn signal/high beam switch as well as from the high-beam assistant button (FLA).
Pressing the on-board computer button in an axial direction triggers the requests for the on-board computer. The steering column switch cluster (SZL) sends the request signal to display the on-board computer functions via the FlexRay.
In the case of vehicle equipment without the high-beam assistant (FLA), the button on the steering column stalk turn indicator/high-beam switch is not required. A large button is used instead.
