SERVICE INFORMATION
SITUATION
After programming vehicle, the following Drivers Assistance features are non-functional:
- Speed limit detection
- Traffic Jam Assistant
- Lane departure warning
- Intelligent Safety Button highlighted in "Orange"
CAUSE
An enabling code for various KAFAS (Camera Assisted Drivers Assistance System) functions is not present in control unit software.
CORRECTION
Program and encode the KAFAS using ISTA/P 3.60.3 or ISTA 4.03.2x or higher.
PROCEDURE
For conditions that are similar to the situation described:
- Run diagnosis with ISTA and work through the corresponding test module.
- Program and encode with ISTA/P 3.60.3 or ISTA 4.03.2x or a higher version.
- Target I-Level: 16-11-504
Also, fault code CA9410 may be currently present in TRSVC (Top Rear Side View Camera) control unit. This fault code can be ignored. It is not necessary to delete the fault as this fault will not cause a CCM to be displayed.
WARRANTY INFORMATION

Vehicle Programming and Coding
When ISTA/P automatically reprograms and codes all the vehicle's control modules that currently do not have the latest software, and if control module failures occur during this programming procedure:
- Please claim this consequential control module-related repair work under the defect code listed in this bulletin with the applicable KSD2/AIR labor operations.
Other Repairs
Control module failures that occurred prior to this programming procedure and/or additional work is performed as a result of performing the ISTA diagnostics and related test plans:
- When covered under an applicable limited warranty, claim the control module-related and/or other repair work using the applicable defect code and labor operations in KSD2/AIR.
