61 31... Removing/installing/replacing the control unit for touch detection

Attention! 

OBSERVE THE INFORMATION ON PROTECTION FROM ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE .

Disassembly of the steering wheel is not necessary! 

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Refer to REMOVING BOTH MULTIFUNCTION STEERING WHEEL SWITCHES 

Removal: 

Release screw (1) on the design trim (2).

Unclip design trim (2) carefully upwards and remove.

Disconnect both connectors (1) and remove the control unit for touch detection (2).

Installation: 

Attach the control unit for touch detection (2) and connect the connector (1).

Installation note: 

Ensure that the steering wheel module (2) is correctly seated.

Carefully clip in design trim (2) and tighten with screw (1).
