12 61 285 Replacing engine oil level sensor: Notes

- Conduct all work in the vehicle wearing appropriate personal protective equipment only.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER
- Release the oil filter cap and remove the filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL SERVICE .
- Release the oil drain plug
- Remove the FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION
Follow-up work
- Tighten the oil drain plug to 25 Nm. NOTE: Replace the sealing ring.
- Install the front underbody protection
- Top-up motor oil.
- Tighten oil filter cap to 25 Nm after lightly oiling the O-ring.
- Refer to INSTALL ACOUSTIC COVER
- Check engine oil level
