Control Assembly: Service and Repair

VEHICLES LESS AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel trim panel(s) to expose control unit retaining screws.
3. Remove control unit retaining screws, then carefully draw unit out of instrument panel.
4. Disconnect vacuum and electrical connections, then disconnect temperature control cable.
5. Reverse procedure to install.




WITH AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel trim plates.
3. Remove control head retaining screws, then draw unit out of instrument panel.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors at rear of control head.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
