Reservoir Assembly

CAUTION: Before servicing any component which contains high pressure, it is mandatory that hydraulic pressure in the system be discharged. With ignition off, pump brake pedal a MINIMUM of 20 times using full pedal strokes. When a definite increase in pedal effort is felt, pump pedal 2 more times.
  1. Discharge system pressure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove return hose. Drain reservoir. Unplug electrical connector from fluid level sensor. Remove reservoir to valve block mounting bracket bolt.
  2. Carefully pry reservoir from booster housing. To install, reverse removal procedure. Inspect "O" rings and replace if necessary. Install new grommets. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM in this article.
