Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the sensor attaching bolts, then separate sensor from engine.

Inspection
Inspect crankshaft sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage and replace as necessary.

NOTE: Apply engine oil to new O-ring prior to installation.

INSTALLATION
1. Torque the sensor attaching bolts to (88 in lb)
2. Connect the sensor electrical connector.
3. Connect the battery ground cable.
