Front Seat Assembly: Installation
CAUTION:
Replace belts, retractors, and hardware in use during all but a minor collision. Also, restraint systems should be replaced and anchorages properly repaired if they were in areas damaged by a collision, whether the belt was in use or not. If there is any question, replace the belt system. Damage whether visible or not, could result in serious personal injury in the event of an accident.
- Install front seat assembly with the aid of a helper.
- Connect the electrical connectors (19) or lumbar connectors (20) on seats with power seat adjusters or power lumbar support. See Figure .
- Install the front adjuster nuts (2) to the anchor plate studs (11). Tighten the adjuster nuts (2). See Figure . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front seat adjuster front trim covers (7). See Figure .
- Install the screws (6) to the front seat adjuster front trim covers (7). Tighten the screws (6). Move the seat to full-forward position. See Figure . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the safety belt anchor bolts. Tighten the belt bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the rear adjuster nuts (2) to the anchor plate studs (11). Tighten the rear adjuster nuts (2). See Figure . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front seat adjuster rear trim covers (4). See Figure
- Install the screws (5) to the front seat adjuster rear trim covers (4). Tighten the screws (5). See Figure . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
