Rear Compartment Lid Release Available With Ignition Switch

In RUN Position & Transmission Out Of Park

1) Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Theft Deterrent Module (RCDLR/TDM) connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect test light between RCDLR/TDM connector terminal C14 (Brown wire) and ground.

2) If test light does not light, repair open circuit in Brown wire to RCDLR/TDM connector. If test light lights, set parking brake. Shift transmission to Drive. Connect test light between RCDLR/TDM connector terminal C16 (Black/White wire) and ground.

3) If test light does not light, check for poor connection at RCDLR/TDM connector terminal C16 (Light Green wire). If connection is okay, replace RCDLR/TDM. If test light lights, check for short to voltage at Light Green wire. If wire is okay, replace transmission position switch and back-up light switch.
