Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil Assembly:

Remove or Disconnect:
1. Disconnect negative battery cable
2. Disconnect four terminal PCM connector at coil driver

Coil And Coil Module Removal And Installation:

3. Disconnect coil connectors
4. Disconnect secondary wire
5. Remove bolt and stud
6. Remove ignition coil module (ICM), driver, and bracket

Install or Connect:
1. Spread silicone grease on the metal face of the ICM mounting bracket. This grease is necessary for ICM cooling.
2. Install coil driver and module
3. Tighten bolt and stud to specification
Torque Value: 25 N-m (18 lb.ft.)
4. Connect secondary wire
5. Connect four terminal connector to coil driver
6. Connect negative battery cable
