Code 95 - Brake Switch Circuit Open: Notes

This test identifies open brake switch circuit that prevents brake switch input to EBCM/EBTCM from changing status when brakes are applied. Code 95 is used in conjunction with Codes 91 and 92 to determine cause of an open brake switch malfunction.

Code 95 can set after initialization is complete if brake switch input voltage is out of specification for one second. Code will be stored, but ABS will be disabled and ABS warning light illuminated.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. Use only 10-megohm (minimum) DVOM for all voltage and resistance tests. For identification of circuits and terminals referenced in charts and text, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .
