Programming New Module (Special Equipment Option - Except Grand PRIX)

Theft deterrent module on Special Equipment Option (SEO) vehicles must remain unprogrammed. This is do to ignition key not having a resistor pellet and resistor sensing circuits being jumpered in wiring harness. To verify that module is unprogrammed, attach test light between Data Link Connector (DLC) connector terminal No. 8 (Gray wire) and battery voltage. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. With ignition switch in RUN position, test light should flash on and off. If test light illuminates and stay on when ignition is on, module has become programmed.
