DTC B3031: Key Decoder Device In Learn Mode: Testing

NOTE: If circuit is shorted to ground, fuse will blow. Check fuse before performing diagnostics.
  1. Perform THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, place BCM in auto learn mode. Go to next step.
  3. Read DTCs with scan tool. If any DTC are set or reset, go to next step. If DTCs have not reset, go to step  6 .
  4. Repair appropriate DTC. See BCM DTC DEFINITIONS  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If repair is complete, go to step  6 . If repair is not complete, go to next step.
  5. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  6. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Go to THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
