Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) & Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Assembly: Removal

  1. BPMV and EBCM assembly is located on left side of engine compartment, near strut tower. EBCM and BPMV are individual units that are connected. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect EBCM harness connector ensuring connector tab is released by pushing down lock tab and slide connector cover. Disconnect BPMV pump motor ground cable. Label brakelines for installation reference and remove brakelines from BPMV.
  3. Remove EBCM and BPMV assembly from vehicle by removing 4 bolts from under assembly. Separate EBCM from BPMV by gently pulling forward. DO NOT pry apart. If seal is damaged, it must be replaced.
