Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Raise and support vehicle. Remove left front wheel. Remove left front wheelhouse extension. Rotate Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) harness connector tab to unlocked position. Remove EBCM Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip.
  2. Disconnect EBCM harness connector. Disconnect Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) harness connector from EBCM. Remove 6 EBCM-to-BPMV screws. Clean EBCM/BPMV assembly surface. Separate EBCM form BPMV.
  3. To install, clean BPMV surface. Connect EBCM to BPMV. Install EBCM-to BPMV screws. Tighten screws to 28 INCH lbs. (3 N.m).
  4. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Reprogram EBCM using latest software. Perform appropriate diagnostic system check. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
