Programming Transmitters

NOTE: All RKE transmitters which are to be recognized by the RFA must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If RFA is placed in program mode, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter.
  1. Connect scan tool. Ignition on, engine off. Use scan tool REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATION SPECIAL FUNCTION: PROGRAM KEY FOBS to place RFA in PROGRAM MODE. The doors will lock and then unlock to confirm program mode.
    2. NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected until all transmitters are programmed.
  2. Press and hold LOCK button and UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a 15 seconds , doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of that transmitter.
  3. Program up to 4 RKE transmitters by repeating previous step. When all RKE transmitters are programmed, remove scan tool. Operate transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
