Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, observe switch parameter of indicated switch in DDM data list. If scan tool does not display IDLE, go to step  3 . If scan tool displays IDLE, go to next step.
  2. Activate switch and observe scan tool. If switch parameters change, clear DTC and operate vehicle to meet conditions for running DTC. If switch parameters do not change, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect indicated door switch. Turn ignition switch to RUN position, engine off. Observe switch parameter on scan tool. If scan tool displays IDLE, check connections in connector. If connectors are okay, replace door switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If scan tool does not display IDLE, check switch wiring for shorts and poor connections. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If wiring and connectors are okay, replace door control module.
