Programming Features

Enter Programming Mode 

Pressing the driver information center (DIC) personalization switch activates the first level DIC personalization menu items and a subsequent press activates the second level DIC personalization menu items. When the DIC personalization menu is entered and no switch is pressed, the personalization menu display times out and the DIC displays the last vehicle information screen that was present before entering personalization. Perform the following steps in order to enter the personalization programming mode:

  1. Press the DIC personalization button to access the first level personalization menu items and press the DIC personalization button to access the second level personalization menu items.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button to select items through the menu.

Exit Lighting 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Exterior Lighting Delay feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Exit Lighting is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF
    • NO CHANGE
    • 30 SEC
    • 60 SEC
    • 120 SEC
  3. Press the Set/Reset button in order to set the desired selection.

The default value for this feature is 30 SEC.

Auto Door Lock 

This feature allows the driver to determine when door are automatically locked. Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Auto Door Lock feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Auto Door Lock is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options.
    • SHIFT OUT OF PARK (default value)
    • AT VEHICLE SPEED
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired option.

Auto Door Unlock 

This feature allows the driver to determine which doors automatically unlock when the vehicle is shifted into Park (P). Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Auto Door Unlock feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Auto Door Unlock is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options.
    • OFF
    • DRIVER AT KEY OUT
    • DRIVER IN PARK
    • ALL AT KEY OUT
    • ALL IN PARK (default value)
  3. Press the Set/Reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Delayed Door Lock 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Delayed Door Locking feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Delayed Door Lock is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF
    • ON (default value)
  3. Press the Set/Reset button again in order to set the desired selection.

If ON is selected, the doors automatically delay locking for 25 seconds after the door lock is pressed and any doors are open. The key must be out of the ignition for this feature to work.

Remote Door Lock 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Remote Door Lock feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Remote Door Lock is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF
    • LIGHTS ONLY
    • HORN ONLY
    • HORN and LIGHTS (default value)
  3. Press the Set/Reset button in order to set the desired selection.

If LIGHTS ONLY is selected, the exterior lights will flash when LOCK is pressed on the remote key fob. If HORN ONLY is selected, the horn will sound once when LOCK is pressed on the remote key fob. If LIGHTS and HORN is selected, the exterior lights will flash and the horn will sound once when LOCK is pressed on the remote key fob.

Remote Door Unlock 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Remote Door Unlock feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Remote Door Unlock is displayed.
  2. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.
    • LIGHTS OFF
    • LIGHTS ON (default value)

If LIGHTS ON is selected, the exterior lights will flash when UNLOCK is pressed on the remote key fob.

Approach Lighting 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Approach Lighting option:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Approach Lighting is displayed.
    • OFF
    • ON (default value)
  2. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired option.

Remote Start 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Remote Start option:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Remote Start is displayed.
    • OFF
    • ON (default value)
  2. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Memory Seat Recall 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Memory Seat Recall:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Memory Seat Recall is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF (default value)
    • ON
    • NO CHANGE
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Easy Exit Seat 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Easy Exit Seat feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Easy Exit Seat is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF (default value)
    • ON
    • NO CHANGE
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Park Tilt Mirrors 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Park Tilt Mirror feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Park Tilt Mirror is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • OFF (default value)
    • DRIVER MIRROR
    • PASSENGER MIRROR
    • BOTH MIRRORS
    • NO CHANGE
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Chime Volume 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Chime Volume feature:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Chime Volume is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • NORMAL (default value)
    • LOUD
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired selection.

Language 

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Language option:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Language is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • ENGLISH (default value)
    • SPANISH
    • FRENCH
  3. Press the set/reset button in order to set the desired language.

A simultaneous press of the INFO and MENU buttons for about 1 second provides a shortcut to change the language without understanding the currently displayed language.

Factory Setting 

Continue with the following steps in order to return to Factory Setting:

  1. Scroll through the personalization menu using the DIC personalization button until Factory Setting is displayed.
  2. Press the personalization button to scroll through the following options:
    • RESTORE ALL
    • DO NOT RESTORE
  3. Press the set/reset button again in order to set the desired Factory Setting.
