Digital Radio Output Circuit Malfunction
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the radio.
- Ignition ON, radio ON and tuned to XM, test for varying mV AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground:
- Left audio signal (+) - connector X2, terminal 1
- Right audio signal (+) - connector X2, terminal 2
- Left audio signal (-) - connector X2, terminal 9
- Right audio signal (-) - connector X2, terminal 10
- If the varying mV A/C voltage is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the DRR.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
