Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, measure and record the battery voltage at the battery terminals. The battery voltage should stabilize between 12.4 and 12.8V within a few minutes of turning the ignition OFF.
- If not within the specified range, refer to Battery Inspection/Test .
- Ignition OFF, disconnect K59 starter generator control module X3 connector.
- Ignition ON, test for 8-18V between the K59 starter generator control module X3 connector ignition voltage circuit terminal 10 and ground.
- If not within the specified range, test the ignition voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal replace the K59 starter generator control module.
