Calibration Procedure

NOTE:

To complete the battery sensor module calibration, there must be no significant parasitic electrical drain on the battery. If the parasitic electrical drain does not remain below 100 mA during vehicle rest, the calibration will not be completed successfully. Refer to Battery Electrical Drain/Parasitic Load Test

NOTE:

If diagnosing a Stop/Start concern and the negative battery cable was disconnected and reconnected, the Stop/Start feature should function after a power cycle. Please allow vehicle to sit undisturbed for 3 hours to allow the system to relearn successfully.

  1. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
  2. Let the vehicle rest for a minimum of 3 hours without any interruptions (e.g. without opening vehicle doors, operating vehicle components, using fob buttons etc.).

  4. Verify the scan tool parameter - Battery Sensor Module Battery State Information parameter reads Available.
    • If not the specified value
    • Go to next step: If the Specified Value
