Operation

The power module controls the operation of the compressor clutch and blower motor, and is located on the top of the evaporator assembly. The power module receives compressor and blower drive signals from the programmer which are amplified into strong output signals proportional to the input.

The power module is transistorized and it provides variable blower speeds. A large heat sink, attached to the power module, protrudes into the evaporator air stream as a means of dissipating the heat which the power module generates.
