BCM To PCM Data Malfunction In Circuit No. 491

If PCM fails to receive data from BCM terminal D3 on circuit No. 491, Code E47 will be set immediately by the PCM. Data will continue to be sent to BCM on circuit No. 526. Since BCM continues to receive data, Code F32 is not set immediately and instantaneous fuel economy reading will be accurate.

Upon entering self-diagnostics, the BCM will attempt to request diagnostic data from PCM, but cannot due to malfunction in circuit No. 491. If diagnostic data is not received by BCM, Code F32 will set. The BCM will be unable to display Code E47 stored in PCM memory.
