Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Go to next step.
  2. If DTCs U1162, U1163 and U1170 are also set as current, go to DTC U1170: LOSS OF LEFT FRONT POWER WINDOW SWITCH ASSEMBLY SIMPLE BUS SERIAL DATA  . If DTCs U1162, U1163 and U1170 are not set as current, go to next step.
  3. Check for an open in Tan/White wire between Driver Door Module (DDM) connector C1 terminal No. 6 and other door module connectors C1 terminal No. 15. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and go to step  6 . If Tan/White wire is okay, go to next step.
  4. Check for short or open in the power and ground circuits to appropriate door module. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and go to step  6 . If power and ground circuits check okay, go to next step.
  5. Replace appropriate door module. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Clear any DTCs. Perform door control system check. See SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
