Vehicle Theft Deterrent System Auto Learn Procedure
- Insert a valid mechanical coded unlearned ignition key in ignition switch. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. SECURITY indicator light will illuminate 10 minutes, the length of the auto learn timer.
- When auto learn timer expires and SECURITY indicator light turns off, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove ignition key from ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 two more times. Insert the newly learned ignition key in ignition switch.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. SECURITY indicator light should remain off to indicate ignition key was learned. If SECURITY indicator light does not remain off, repeat procedure.
