Generator Cable: Installation

  1. Position the generator cable to the engine. Connect the battery positive lead and install the generator output BAT terminal nut. Tighten the generator output BAT terminal nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Press the protective boot on to the generator output BAT terminal. Connect the cable harness clips to the front of the camshaft cover.
  3. Connect the starter motor BAT terminal wire. See Figure . Tighten the battery positive cable to starter terminal nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the nut securing the battery positive cable to the remote positive terminal. Tighten the battery positive cable to remote positive terminal nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the intake manifold. INTAKE MANIFOLD . Install the upper filler panel. Connect the battery negative cable. Tighten cable to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
