Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  The cruise control module is mounted to the left strut tower. Service the cruise control module as a complete unit.

  1. Remove the cruise control cable from the cruise control module. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT (3.1L)  or CRUISE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT (3.8L)  .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the cruise control module.

  3. Remove the cruise control module retaining nuts from the shock tower.
