Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 GMC Sierra, 2008 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2008 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect harness connectors at all rear object sensors.
- Ignition ON, transmission in REVERSE, test for 8.0-9.0 volts between object sensor supply voltage circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.IMPORTANT: A short to voltage on the component signal circuit may cause this DTC to set.
- If greater than the specified range, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to voltage. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
- If less than the specified range, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
- Connect each rear object sensor one at a time, while monitoring Sensor Feed Voltage Output scan tool parameter. The parameter value should be greater than 8.0 volts.
- If less than the specified value after an individual object sensor is connected, test or replace that object sensor.
