Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 GMC Sierra and 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The object alarm detection system senses how close the vehicle is to an object. The distance is determined by the 4 ultrasonic sensors located in the rear bumper. The object detection system will notify the driver when backing up while parking at speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph), which makes parking easier and helps you avoid colliding with objects such as parked vehicles. The object detection system will use the rear display indicators and the radio speakers for notification.
