Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify the Pedestrian Alert Sound System parameter is Active.
    • If Pedestrian Alert Sound System is Malfunction 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Pedestrian Alert Sound System Malfunction

    • If Pedestrian Alert Sound System is Disabled 

      Enable system using the driver information center.

    • If Pedestrian Alert Sound System is Active 
  3. Verify the P48 Pedestrian Alert Sound Speaker turns on and off when commanding the Pedestrian Alert Sound When Driving Forward parameter On and Off with a scan tool.
    • If the speaker does not turn ON and OFF 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Output Speaker Malfunction.

    • If the speaker turns ON and OFF 
  4. All OK.
