Disabling Procedure - Pedestrian Impact Detection System (PIDS) Fuse
- Place the ignition in the OFF position.
- Locate and remove the fuse supplying power to the PIDS. Refer to Electrical Center Identification ViewsElectrical Center Identification Views . With all PIDS fuses removed and the ignition switch in the ON position, the PIDS warning indicator illuminates. This is normal operation and does not indicate a PIDS system malfunction.
- Wait 1 minute before working on the system.
