Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Hold Down Retainer And Retainer

  1. Install Battery (3)
  2. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Install Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  4. If necessary, install the radiator surge tank (3). Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L83 L86)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L96)

  6. Engage Retaining Tab (1)

  7. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) Tighten 7 N.m (62 lb in)

  8. Install Battery Positive Cable (3)
  9. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (3) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  10. Install Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (1)
  11. Engage Retainer Clip (4)

  12. Install Front Fender Rear Upper Brace (4)Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
