- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Perform the scan tool control function:Trunk Lid Unlatch - Unlatch
Verify a click can be heard or felt at the following component(s) when the scan tool control function was commanded:M40 Rear Compartment Lid Latch
- If a click cannot be heard or felt

- Go to next step: If a click can be heard or felt
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
- Operate the component:S58B Rear Compartment Lid Unlatch Switch - Interior - Pressed
Verify the component produces a clicking sound:M40 Rear Compartment Lid Latch
- If a click cannot be heard or felt
