Pedestrian Impact Detection Control Module Scan Tool Data Parameters

Parameter Expected Value Description
Operating Conditions:  Engine ON
Battery Voltage Signal Varies This displays volts. This is the current battery voltage signal.
Power Mode Run The scan tool displays Off, Accessory, Run or Crank Request. This is the state of the ignition switch.
Left Hood Hinge Deployment Loop Resistance 1.44 - 4.25 Ohms The scan tool displays the resistance of the learned loop of the hood hinge when connected to the Pedestrian Impact Detection Control Module
Right Hood Hinge Deployment Loop Resistance 1.44 - 4.25 Ohms The scan tool displays the resistance of the learned loop of the hood hinge when connected to the Pedestrian Impact Detection Control Module
Pedestrian Impact Detection system Service Required Message Requested/Not Requested The scan tool displays Requested or Not Requested. This is the state of the Pedestrian Impact Detection system service message.
Pedestrian Impact Detection system Disabled Message Requested/Not Requested The scan tool displays Requested or Not Requested. This is the state of the Pedestrian Impact Detection system disabled message.
Pedestrian Impact Detection system Deployed Message Requested/Not Requested The scan tool displays Requested or Not Requested. This is the state of the Pedestrian Impact Detection system deployed message.
Pedestrian Impact Detection Control Module Scan Tool Output Controls

Output Control Description
Data Recorder This output control is used to enable or disable the diagnostic data recorder.
Module Setup This output control is used to setup a new Pedestrian Impact Detection Control Module.
