Installation Procedure

Near Field Communication Exterior Module (1) - Install

1. Place the applique in a suitable work area on a clean shop cloth.
2. Remove any remaining adhesive residue from the applique with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water. Wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel.
3. Apply tape adhesive promoter (3M 4298UV) in the tape landing areas of the applique per the prescribed product directions.
4. Allow approximately 1 minute for promoter to flash dry.
5. Remove tape liner from replacement sensor and position onto applique.
6. Apply significant force to the sensor in order to ensure tape contact to applique and initialize the tape wet-out. Pressure should be equivalent to at least 10 psi in the areas that tape is present.

Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique (2) - Install

Install the electrical connector (1) in its original routing location.

Install by pressing down firmly on the front side door window belt reveal molding (2) until seated to the pinch-weld flange on the door panel.

Outside Rearview Mirror Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

Route the front side door handle cable through the hole in the front side door water deflector (1) while installing it to the door.
