Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Care must be taken when handling coolant sensor. Damage to coolant sensor will affect proper operation of the Fuel Injection system.
1. Relieve coolant pressure.
2. Disconnect negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Carefully back out coolant sensor.
5. Coat threads with sealant.
6. Install sensor in engine, torque to 30 N-m (22 Ft. Lbs.).
7. Connect electrical connector.
8. Connect negative battery cable.
9. Refill lost coolant.
