Serial Data

ECM has a serial data line. Serial data is a stream of electrical impulses which can be interpreted by special testers of other control modules. Access serial data by connecting special scan testers to Assembly Line Data Link (ALDL) connector. Update intervals and information contained within data stream vary with model application.
