Transmission Range (TR) Pressure Switch Assembly

Transmission Range Pressure Switch Circuit:

Purpose:
Five pressure switches are connected to three PCM signal circuits referred to as range signals A, B and C. The combination of pressure switch state determines voltage on each range signal.

The PCM process this information to determine selected range of the transmission.

Operation:
Five pressure switches, two normally closed and three normally open, detect fluid pressure within the valve body passages. The combination of pressure switch state determines voltage signal, B+ or 0, on each range signal to the PCM.

Trans Range Pressure Switch Assembly:

Location:
The Transmission Range (TR) Pressure Switch assembly is attached to the valve body inside the transmission.
