Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil Assembly:




Coil And Coil Module Removal And Installation:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect four terminal connector at the ignition coil module.
3. Disconnect coil connectors.
4. Disconnect secondary wire.
5. Remove bolt and stud.
6. Remove ignition coil module (ICM) driver, and bracket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Spread silicone grease on the metal face of the ICM mounting bracket.
^ This grease is necessary for ICM cooling.
2. Install ignition coil module.
3. Tighten bolt and stud to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
4. Connect secondary wire.
5. Connect four terminal connector to the ICM.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
