Code 72 Loss Of Serial Data: Notes

Code will set if IPC does not receive 25 valid responses from PCM, system voltage is greater than 6.8 volts and conditions have been met for 5 seconds.

1. If telltale lights are on, this is a good indication of serial data loss.
2. If scan tester cannot read serial data, ensure scan tester is functioning properly.
3. If PCM serial data is available, circuit may be open to IPC. If circuit is okay, IPC may be faulty.
