Removal & Installation

Turn the ignition switch OFF. Relieve the coolant system pressure. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector (1). Carefully back out the ECT sensor (2).

To install, coat the threads (only) with sealer. Install the ECT sensor (2). Tighten the ECT sensor to 25 Nm (18.5 lb. ft.). Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector (1). Refill the engine coolant system.
