DTC 13, DIC Switches Open Or Shorted To Battery: Notes
Driver Information Center (DIC) switches circuit contains resistors in series that create a voltage divider circuit. When a particular DIC switch is activated, circuit resistance changes and alters voltage level at CCM DIC switch detection input circuit. CCM determines which switch is activated and performs desired function by monitoring voltage level at CCM DIC switch detection input circuit.
DTC 13 will set when CCM senses high voltage (greater than 5 volts) in DIC switch detection input circuit for longer than 3 seconds.
When DTC 13 is set, SYS will flash and when a switch is activated, input will not be recognized. DTC 13 will clear when CCM senses a normal voltage (less than 5 volts) in DIC switch detection input circuit.
