DTC 14, DIC Switches Shorted To Ground: Notes

Driver Information Center (DIC) switches circuit contains resistors in series that create a voltage divider circuit. When a particular DIC switch is activated, circuit resistance changes and alters voltage level at CCM DIC switch detection input circuit. CCM determines which switch is activated and performs desired function by monitoring voltage level at CCM DIC switch detection input circuit.

DTC 14 will set when CCM senses low voltage (less than .3 volt) in DIC switch detection input circuit for longer than 3 seconds.

When DTC 14 is set, SYS will flash and when a switch is activated, input will not be recognized. DTC 14 will clear when CCM does not sense a low voltage in DIC switch detection input circuit.
