DTC 16, Ignition 3 Fuse Circuit Open: Notes

With ignition switch in RUN position, ignition 3 circuit is at system voltage. With ignition switch in any other position, ignition 3 circuit is open. Even if CCM detects an open in ignition 3 circuit and DTC 16 is set, if certain conditions exist, CCM will act as if ignition 3 is present. The conditions required are: ignition 1 must be present, CCM is able to communicate with PCM, and RPM data received is greater than required value. This allows CCM to function without ignition 3 present.

DTC 16 will set when ignition 3 circuit voltage is low when CCM expects a high voltage.

When history DTC 16 is set, SYS will flash and on-board diagnostics can not be enabled. DTC 16 will clear when ignition 3 circuit voltage is high when CCM expects a high voltage.
