Sensing & Diagnostic Module (SDM): Installation

  1. Mount SDM on vehicle, ensuring arrow is pointing toward front of vehicle. Install SDM fasteners. See Figure . Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Reconnect electrical connector and CPA.
  2. Position carpet over SDM. Install driver seat. Reactivate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  . Ensure proper system function. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
