Compressor Front Bracket Mounting

A/C Compressor Bracket:






Remove and Disconnect

1. Serpentine drive belt.
2. Electrical connector at compressor.
3. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
4. Battery negative cable nut from stud.
5. Stud.
6. Bolts/screws.
7. Compressor forward to allow access to bracket.
8. Bolts/screws.
9. Bracket.

Install or Connect

1. Bracket.
2. Bolts/screws.

Tighten
^ In sequence:
A. Bolt/screw to 27 N.m (20 lb. ft.).
B. Bolts/screws to 50 N.m (37 lb. ft.).

3. Position compressor.
4. Bolts/screws.

Tighten
^ Bolts/screws to 50 N.m (37 lb. ft.).

5. Stud.

Tighten
^ Stud to 50 N.m (37 lb. ft.).

6. Battery negative cable and nut to stud.

Tighten
^ Nut to 25 N.m (18 lb. ft.).

7. Lower vehicle.
8. Electrical connector to compressor.
9. Serpentine drive belt.
