Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front floor kick-up panel. Refer to KICK-UP PANEL REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR .
  2. Remove the cover from the instrument panel (IP) electrical center.
  3. Remove the RDO/ANT MiniFuse® #24 from the I/P electrical center.
  4. Remove the I/P left lower insulator panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT .
  5. Disconnect the electrical/audio connector from the Bose® signal processing module.

    Important:  The signal processing module is only held in place by retaining bolts. Be sure to support the signal processor upon removal of the bolts.

  6. Remove the bolts retaining the Bose® signal processor to the steering column bracket.
  7. Remove the signal processing module.
