1. Tests if the BCM can enter the On-Board Diagnostic Mode. Refer to On-Board Diagnostic Features. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
2. The presence of DTCs stored in the BCM. The specified procedure will compile all the available information before tests are performed.
