Front Window Regulator: Installation
NOTE:
Use correct fastener in correct location. Replacement fasteners must be correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage fastener. Use correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Position window regulator (5) in door. See Fig 1 . Connect door window regulator harness connector. Install window regulator rivets (2). Position window regulator (5) in door. Install power window regulator rivets (2).
- Install window regulator bolts (3). Tighten regulator bolts (3) to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). Remove tape from window and push window down to window regulator. Install window-to-regulator nuts (4). Tighten window-to- regulator nuts (4) to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). Install water deflector. Install door trim panel.
