Output Devices

Output components are diagnosed for proper response to PCM commands. Components where functional monitoring is not feasible are monitored for circuit continuity and out-of-range values if applicable. Monitored components include, but are not limited to the following:

• A/C relay.
• Cooling fan relay.
• Electronic transaxle controls.
• EVAP canister purge valve.
• Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor.
• Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) control.
• Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) output.
